Academic Programmes

Our Department offers the flagship Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/BS) 6-year programme, designed to produce generalist physicians capable of working in a variety of health settings. The curriculum spans pre-clinical science, clinical training in medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, and other specialties. Graduates may progress to postgraduate clinical specialisations, research or health system leadership roles.

Admission Requirements & How to Apply

Undergraduate MBBS Admission RequirementsApplicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of the South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE) or equivalent qualification, with strong performance in science subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and Mathematics.
  • English proficiency and satisfactory academic record are essential.
  • International applicants must submit equivalent recognised qualifications and may require proof of English competence.
  • Additional selection assessments (entrance examination or interview) may be required by the College of Medicine.

How to Apply

1.Download or collect the MBBS application form from the University’s Admissions Office or website.

2.Complete the form accurately, attach certified copies of academic transcripts/certificates, passport-sized photograph, national ID / passport for international applicants.

3.Pay the non-refundable application fee as specified by admissions guidelines.

4.Submit the completed application and supporting documentation to:Admissions Office, University of Juba, P.O. Box 82, Juba – South SudanOr via the designated email/online portal (if available).

5.Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or phone and may be invited for an interview or additional assessment. Successful applicants will receive an official Admission Letter detailing registration, tuition, orientation and next steps.
