The Department of Chemistry at the University of Juba is dedicated to educating and preparing scientifically-skilled graduates who can apply chemical knowledge to real-world challenges in South Sudan and the region. Our degree programmes integrate fundamental chemistry theory with laboratory skills, applied techniques and industrial relevance—supporting roles in materials, environment, manufacturing, health, and research sectors.

Core Values
Academic Programmes
The Department currently offers the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry programme, structured to provide a five-year honours degree pathway. Students will cover foundational subjects (inorganic, organic, physical, analytical chemistry) as well as applied areas (industrial chemistry, environmental chemistry, materials, and chemical instrumentation). Practical laboratory training, research projects and industry-link components are integrated to prepare graduates for employment or postgraduate study.

How to Apply
1.Obtain the application form from the University Admissions Office or download from the University website.
2.Complete the form accurately, including personal, academic and contact details; attach certified copies of transcripts/certificates, recent passport-sized photograph, and ID/passport for international applicants.
3.Pay the specified non-refundable application fee as indicated in the admissions documentation.
4.Submit the completed form and supporting documents to:
Admissions Office, University of Juba, P.O. Box 82, Juba – South Sudan (or via the designated online/email submission route if available).
5.Short-listed applicants will be contacted via email or the phone number provided for interview or further assessment. Successful candidates will receive an official Admission Letter detailing registration instructions, orientation schedule and next steps.
