Academic Programmes

The Department offers the following Bachelor of Science (Honours) degrees:

  • BSc (Hons) in Animal Production
  • BSc (Hons) in Wildlife & Conservation
  • BSc (Hons) in Fisheries

Admission Requirements & How to Apply

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

  • Applicants seeking admission into the Department of Animal Sciences must meet the following criteria:

1.Academic Qualifications

  • Successful completion of the South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE) or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum pass in English, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry is required.
  • Preference is given to candidates with strong grades in science subjects, particularly Biology and Agriculture.

2.Mature Entry

  • Applicants with relevant professional experience in livestock, wildlife, or fisheries sectors may be considered under the mature entry scheme, subject to University Senate approval.

3.International Applicants

  • Candidates from other countries in the East African region must present equivalent qualifications recognized by the University of Juba.
  • All documents must be officially translated into English where necessary.

2.Complete the Form

oFill in all required details accurately and attach certified copies of your academic transcripts, certificates, passport-sized photographs, and national ID (or passport for international applicants).

3.Pay the Application Fee

  • A non-refundable application fee (as indicated in the form) must be paid to the University’s designated bank account.

4.Submit the Application

oSubmit your completed form and attachments to:The Admissions Office, University of Juba, P.O. Box 82, Juba – South Sudanor email scanned copies to admissions@uoj.edu.ss.

5.Await Notification

  • Shortlisted applicants will be contacted through the provided email or phone for interview or further processing.
  • Successful candidates will receive an official Admission Letter with details on registration and orientation.
